Azithromycin
Generic: Zithromax, Z-Pak
Indication: Respiratory tract infections (including pertussis, pneumonia), otitis media, STIs, skin infections.
Pediatric dosage: 10 mg/kg PO day 1 (max 500 mg), then 5 mg/kg daily on days 2-5 (max 250 mg).
Route: PO, IV
Frequency: Once daily.
Warnings: QT prolongation risk; avoid with other QT-prolonging agents.
